TFJ 666 - 1957 Bedford/Miles Pump

New to Exeter City Fire Brigade in 1957, this Bedford appliance with dual purpose Pump/Pump Escape bodywork by Miles was purchased by Cornwall County Fire Brigade, along with a Dennis F8, OFJ 333, in 1966. TFJ 666 was allocated to Saltash fire station, to run alongside Bedford TJ/HCB Angus WrT/L, SRL595H.

As you can see from the picture, this appliance did not have separate driver or passenger (officer in charge) cab doors, but all the crew made entry by the jack-knife doors on the nearside.

After its service with CCFB, it went to St Marys fire station, with the Isles of Scilly Fire Brigade, in whose livery it is preserved.
