The Roy Yeoman Collection of Fire Appliance Slides on CD For Sale

The images from the slide collection of the late Roy Yeoman, of Moretonhampstead, Devon have been scanned and transferred onto CD, so they can be viewed on computer. Roy was a lifelong fire brigade enthusiast and an active and well respected member of the Fire Brigade Society so much so that he bequeathed his entire collection of slides, photographs and information to the South West Area of the FBS. It was decided to sell copies of Roy's collection of images in order to raise funds to keep the collection in pristine condition by purchasing slide cases, archival photograph albums etc. There are over 1700 pictures, and all images are approximately 570 pixels wide for standardisation (where possible) to look good on a 640x480 pixel screen.

On the CD is an ASCII text file named README.TXT which contains details about the images and explains about the format of the images, naming conventions and the index/information file, ROYSLIDE.CSV

A slide viewing program, as well as a gallery are included on the CD to enable you to view a thumbnail of the images, then to view individual images at full size if required.
