1943 Austin K4/Home Office Pump Escape. Originally a wartime Escape Carrying Unit (ECU), rebuilt as a pump escape by the Home Office workshops at Swindon. Served at Truro (station A1). Later transferred to Saltash (station B12) until 1954, then to Redruth (station A8) in September 1968. It carries a Barton 350 gallons per minute front-mounted pump, serial number C64149, made in Michigan, USA. This appliance is believed to have been preserved.
